Tiffin
About This Spot
Stepping into Tiffin feels a little like being welcomed into a cozy, well-loved corner of South Asia tucked away in the heart of Ystradgynlais. The space itself, with its dining area sweetly set in a bright conservatory, invites a relaxed and gentle pace, where you can settle in comfortably and let the rhythm of good food and warm service take over. It’s a place where laughter mingles easily with the clink of glasses, and evenings stretch into quiet moments filled with the hum of contentment.
What makes Tiffin special isn’t just the thoughtful blend of spices and textures in each dish, but the way the food feels abundant without ever overwhelming. You might find yourself savoring a vibrant biryani that carries the comforting depth of home, or sharing the gentle heat of a tandoori mixed grill that’s both familiar and full of surprises. Every meal here offers its own little journey—a delicate balance of bold flavors alongside refreshing cool chutneys and freshly baked breads that invite you to take your time and enjoy each bite.
Behind the scenes, there’s an evident care in how everyone is treated, from the attentive and genuine staff to the steady flow of guests who return, drawn not only by the food but by the understated warmth that fills the space. It’s a neighborhood spot where hospitality feels personal and unhurried, a place to reconnect with simple pleasures amid the everyday hustle.
The atmosphere is deeply welcoming, with just enough quirkiness—the conservatory setting lends a light, airy feel that brightens the evening as it moves on. People linger over their drinks and dishes, savoring the combination of flavors and the quiet companionship that comes with sharing a meal here. Parking behind the venue makes arrivals easy, allowing you the chance to settle in without fuss.
If what you seek is a spot that blends authenticity with a quietly vibrant spirit—a place where each bite tells a story and the environment encourages a moment to pause—Tiffin offers a gentle invitation to experience Indian cuisine with both heart and soul in Swansea’s less trodden paths.

Tasty, generous portions, polite staff and a relaxing atmosphere. Vehicle parking to the rear. Point to note for those who like to round their meal off with a coffee (& mints), this wasn't available when requested, (went to gastro pub over the road to get a caffeine boost instead).

Everytime we’ve been here the servers have been amazing and the food is always flavourful, one of our favourite places to go to

Really good! It's difficult to find a place with available tables and where food is still served after 8pm. We found Tiffin and we were not disappointed. We could sit inside (!) food was very good and service was great too. Definitely would recommend.

Was totally unexpected. We were glad that a couple of nearby pubs had stopped serving food after 3pm on a Sunday and we ended up here. Excellent mix veg curry, garlic & coriander naan, mushroom rice and tarka daal, friendly staff and nice location with parking. Can't complain.

Lovely food and you sit in a big conservatory, what's not to love? We walked in on the off chance and got a table for two straight away, there were a few other tables there already. We were asked for our drinks order very quickly and offered poppadoms and dips. A bottle of wine was less than £15 and was really good, all the prices were reasonable. The poppadoms were warm and crisp, dips were great. I had a chicken madras, kema rice with a pashwari nan, partner had lamb balti, lemon rice and a plain nan everything was really really good and came in good time, it was hot and well served. We were there for around an hour and a half and it was a really good experience. The fact we can walk down, have a curry and a drink and walk home is great.
